Bespokin’ell is a small workshop built around making things properly.

I’m Luke. I was taught graphic design, trained as a rail industry plant engineer, taught myself carpentry, and generally seem to have spent my life figuring out how things work and then finding a way to make them.

Bespokin’ell came from that.

Most of the things I’ve made over the years haven’t started with a business plan or a gap in the market. They’ve started with me or a customer wanting something that didn’t exist — or wanting to make something that was better than what I could find.

That might be a piece of furniture, a whisky display, something for the kitchen, or something completely different. If I can picture it, I’ll usually want to build it.

That’s what Bespokin’ell is really about. Making useful, good-looking things that don’t need to be made a thousand times to be worth making.

Some are one-offs. Some stick around and become products. Some probably never should have left the workshop.

Either way, they’re all part of the story.

Here’s a look at some of the things I’ve made along the way.
